one in red, being knit by me with Lamb's Pride for a young friend whose brother and sister love Astrid Lindgren's The Tomten and the Fox
and one in gray Paton's Classic Merino, being knit by David for another little friend:
Elizabeth Zimmermann and family knitting projects seem to go hand in hand.

One of my favorite photos of my DD is of her in her old Tomten... She isn't that size anymore!!!
Oh, those are so nice. I hope the friend likes them.
very cute!!
By the way, you mentioned The Future of Food in a past post. None of my local video stores seem to have it. Where did you find the copy you watched?
The Tomten sounds like "cake upon cake" to me (the -n of Tomten is actually the definite form, i.e. equivalent to the definite article "the"), but I guess I'm just going to have to take my knit-picking about this to a translators' forum... ;-) My favourite book was actually Ronia the Robber's Daughter, which I can thoroughly recommend to your son if he hasn't already read it. (And to everyone else too, of course!)
